In recent years, rates of shared parent-child reading have been decreasing rapidly with only 36% of 0-2 year olds being read to every day or nearly every day at home (David, 2025). Book Bites aims to tackle this by providing a series of portable, bitesize baby books to increase the confidence of stressed parents and encourage more frequent, fun shared reading routines to help children get the best start in life.
