ReStep is a wearable rehabilitation device designed to support combat sport athletes recovering from foot and ankle injuries.
Grounded in Human Factors principles, the device combines wearable technology, haptic feedback and performance analytics to support athletes through rehabilitation. It helps them regain strength and confidence when returning to sport.



The system utilises e-textiles to create a live rehabilitation feedback loop between the athlete, the wearable and the smart target.
Conductive thread is integrated into the surfaces of both the wearable and the target, serving as touch sensors to detect the location of contact and strike accuracy during exercises.




The wearable and target communicate wirelessly through Bluetooth, sending movement data to a mobile app for progress tracking and rehabilitation analysis.
