Mane Protection

Shielding the Pride

The neck is an incredibly vulnerable structure, left exposed during police operations. Existing body armour leaves major arteries and vessels unprotected, Mane Protection changes this. The traditional requirements of body armour are reimagined through additive manufacturing, making Mane Protection lightweight and flexible. Bespoke sizing ensures the right fit, everytime; protecting officer safety.

Protection is available in both black and hi-visibility yellow to match police uniforms. The modular two part system allows for officer autonomy over storage and protection.
Two layers of 3D printed TPLA on tulle, offset to create a 70% protection level.
Experimental print patterns were developed to increase stab resistance.
A stab rig drop test was constructed to prove effectiveness against 12J, compliant to CAST 2017
