ARTEVA is a digital recovery platform designed to support athletes throughout their physiotherapy journey. The app focuses on two core features: connecting athletes with others going through similar recoveries, and providing specialist guidance on physiotherapy exercises. ARTEVAs goal is to bridge the gap between the uncertainty of injury recovery and the passion athletes have for their sport. Having had a knee injury in my placement year, I deeply resonate with my project.

For many athletes, recovery can feel isolating. Being unable to train, compete, or relate to teammates often leads to a loss of identity and motivation, making the mental side of recovery just as challenging as the physical side. ARTEVA aims to reduce this sense of isolation by connecting athletes with like-minded individuals who are experiencing similar injuries and recovery journeys, creating a supportive and motivating community.
Physiotherapy can often feel like a long and frustrating process. Through interviews with athletes, common concerns emerged: feeling unheard, not being challenged enough, struggling with pain that feels dismissed, or being priced out of quality support. ARTEVA aims to create a more positive recovery experience by offering accessible specialist guidance, clear exercise support, and a safe, encouraging environment that empowers athletes to recover with confidence.
