Hi, I’m Bea! I specialise in illustration, particularly character design and concept art.

Major Project: Mass Produced Misfits

Mass Produced Misfits is a physical campaign responding to the commercialisation and watering down of alternative subcultures through digital trends (micro trends) and the rise of fast fashion. It’s aimed towards people who dress in an ‘alternative’ style (typically via fast fashion) and/or would label themselves as such, but have no knowledge of the actual subculture nor participation. The goal is to educate them on the real subcultures, encourage participation and the reemergence of the DIY ethos.

Major Project: Cultural Keepers of Knowledge

This is an illustration series that celebrates how women around the world keep their cultures alive and thriving. Each illustration is deeply symbolic of the culture and the role of the women herself. While women are largely understood to be the main keepers of cultural knowledge, oftentimes when searching cultural roles women are vastly out shadowed by men. Here I aim to give back some recognition, shed light and educate on different cultures.

Semester 1: Behind the Mask

Behind the mask is an absurdist eerie horror video game about the personas people adopt online. The goal is to encourage true authenticity and release people from the fake image they feel like they have to portray on their socials.

Level one: The world is a stage
Game character turn around.
Level 4: Cathedral of screens
Prop persona masks. Each are symbolic of online personas social media users adopt, including; trend hoppers, clowns, and performative activists etc.
