ALIGN

ALIGN is a modular motion-tracking system that
combines AI computer vision, haptic feedback
and live visual guidance to help users train safer,
move better and review performance beyond the
workout.

Scenario of Use

Key Features

AI-powered motion capture tracks the user from front and side views, generating a digital skeleton to monitor body movement, joint positioning and exercise technique in real time.

The system analyses key angles, distances and relationships between body nodes to identify issues relating to alignment, over-extension and overexertion during strength-based exercises.

Live visual feedback is displayed through the LED matrix panel, while haptic feedback from the wrist module instantly alerts the user to form corrections and movement errors.

The modular ecosystem combines a main module, haptic wrist module and secondary camera module, connected through a smart app for calibration, workout tracking and device management, while also charging the user’s phone.

DfM Exploded views

Each module was developed with full DfM and DfA consideration, ensuring appropriate split lines, realistic manufacturing methods and feasible assembly.

Prototyping

Aesthetic Prototype

A mechanically and electronically functional prototype, manufactured using 3D printing, demonstrates the product’s physical functionality and user interaction, enabling accurate user testing and evaluation of the design.

An aesthetic-ready prototype demonstrates how the final manufactured product would visually appear.

A fully interactive app prototype allows users to engage with and experience the modular system design.

Other Projects

Fire Robot

Farm Yard Lighting

A remote-controlled dual-motor tracked vehicle featuring a servo- and linear actuator-controlled firefighting ladder, equipped with a pump-fed water suppression system.

A 10-day design sprint for Halophane and the LIA, developing a CNG-powered off-grid farm lighting solution designed with animal welfare in mind.

Star Wars Naboo Royal Starship

A fully G2 curvature-continuous surface model created in SolidWorks, inspired by the Royal Naboo J-type 327 Nubian Starship from Star Wars.
