EpiSpray – Improving the treatment of severe allergic reactions
Anaphylaxis is a life-threatening allergic reaction that can lead to death in under 30 minutes if left untreated.
Current treatment is with a dose of epinephrine from a device such as an EpiPen or Jext Pen. These have shown to be incredibly unituitive to untrained bystanders that may need to help in an emergency.
EpiSpray focuses on creating a safer, more intuitive emergency device, while responding to the need for a more portable, discrete solution for allergy sufferers.
By integrating technology into an emergency device (but not relying on it), users can be guided through emergencies leading to quicker and more reliable treatment.
The nasal delivery method provides a more intuitive, safer alternative to standard needle-based devices like EpiPen. This reduces the risk of dangerous needle-stick injuries.
Allergy sufferers find current devices to be intrusively large and difficult to carry day-to-day. EpiSpray is a dual-dose device roughly half the size of 2 current devices.
Return Urn – iF Design Student Winner – Group Project
The Return Urn is a dissolvable salt urn designed to reduce the environmental impact of the Asthi Visajan, a Hindu funeral rite that involves the immersion or a person’s ashes.
Packaging surrounding the urn contains scripture based guidance to inform worshippers of the most sustainable way to perform an ash immersion.
The urn’s form and aesthetic take cues from current religious items to bridge the gap between old and new practices.
By using salt, the urn can degrade quickly once in the water while having minimal environmental impact.
HL2 Desk Fan – Lboro Design Week 2nd Place
The HL2 desk fan, designed during Loughborough Design Week 2026, responds to FSW Design’s brief requesting a focus on desirable CMF.
By using vapour blasted aluminium, fluted glass, soft-touch plastics and assembled with visible hardware, the fan can balance the industrial feel that comes with a centrifugal fan, while positioning itself as a piece of homeware.
Details such as a cable-wrap and rubber base provide functionality that fits seamlessly with the object.
