A group project with Xander Herrero and Olivia Marsh, turning travel mishaps into a movement. Lingo Liabilities encourages young travellers to share their embarrassing travel experiences. The project highlights the humour in these fails, but more importantly, demonstrates how travel mishaps lead to missed opportunities.
Semi-professional athletes often lead a life balancing unpaid elite sport with a part-time job. This leads to an incredibly busy schedule with little time left to relax and focus on leisurely activities. As a result, when semi-professional athletes’ careers end, they often struggle to find a sense of purpose. This can lead to further problems, including mental struggles, relationship strain and substance abuse. A 2019 study revealed that 67% of former college athletes struggled with emotional distress and a diminished sense of self-worth after graduation.
Inside Chance addresses this problem during an athlete’s playing career, with specialist resources and workshops setting athletes up for a smooth transition to life without their sport.
There is a lack of people willing to become foster parents in the UK. The number of approved foster carers is dropping year on year. This is believed to be a result of the complications associated with fostering.
Project Six Thousand aims to onboard foster carers by breaking down common misconceptions about foster care and sparking conversation about the topic.
