A personal ceramic response to childhood, Polish heritage and family memory.
My project explores how ceramics can be used to preserve memories of childhood and reconnect with Polish cultural identity. The word Dzieciństwo means childhood in Polish and this became the centre of my project because I wanted to create work that felt nostalgic and connected to my family background

Inspired by Polish domestic tableware (Bolesławiec pottery) and Polish books I read as a child, my work uses Polish text and sentimental imagery to create objects that carry that same personal feeling of memory, comfort and connection to home.
The collection reimagines functional ceramics as emotional artefacts. Each bowl, cup and vessel carries traces of memory through hand built form, imperfect surfaces and storytelling decoration.
