Focusing on absence and representation, I use multimedia to create layered and textured work depicting fragile objects. Centred around deliberate omission, I invite the audience to consider the intentions of a representative image when forming a narrative around an object.

My Practice

Explorations

Through the process of making, I am exploring how an object’s representation can be distorted to create the appearance of a new object. This is explored through the absence of the original object, which stops the viewer from coming to a simple conclusion about the work, and instead consider each added layer of distortion that has built up to create the image they see.
