Vello

Vello is a lightweight, tough and reliable bike helmet designed to help protect its users from pollution as they cycle. Built to protect, Vello is for any cyclist who wants to improve their performance and protect their health.

Vello is made up of two main sections- the helmet and the jaw. The helmet has five vents at the front that take in air as the user cycles, transporting the air across the user’s head and down to the back where the jaw is located. The air is then helped on through by a fan located inside the jaw and pushed down through two filters. Each filter has a MERV 13 grade HEPA filter and an activated carbon filter for optimal filtration ability. The air is then pushed on through the jaw and to the users face to be inhaled- without pollution.

Vello has a few different mechanisms, including allowing the user to detach the jaw from the helmet and cycle without chance of filtering air. There are base air filter pods which can be slid down and removed, allowing for the user to remove the old filters for new ones after extended use, allowing you to keep on filtering at the highest level. A breathing rate monitor sits by the jaw, this detects when you are exhaling and momentarily stops the fan, allowing you to comfortably breathe out without air blowing back into your face.
