Xenia

Loughborough’s brutalist architecture makes it unique, sharing many values with the SDCA and representing the functionality and creativity it offers. We built a project on this, finding a common shape in many of Loughborough’s unique buildings and developing a branding identity from it.

2026 Degree Show branding identity – winning pitch

Loughborough University’s brutalist architecture gives the campus a distinctive character – its bold functionality and creativity aligning closely with the values of the SDCA. Drawing on this, we developed a branding identity rooted in a recurring shape found across many of the campus’s most iconic buildings.

The May-September Project

Hackney’s rising housing prices and underfunding of public facilities has left the borough at risk of feeling disconnected. Table Tennis will help with this, connecting the old and young of Hackney over a sport that is able to be enjoyed and played by all, and mirrors the back and forth of deep conversation.

Diaspora

Britain’s long and often dark history can be told through some of the nation’s favourite foods. These foods, chicken tikka masala amongst them, serve as perfect metaphors for when Britain is at its best: when it embraces its diversity. We have never just been an island.

Depth

How can a generation of skim readers be prompted to engage more with what they read? Depth has a font on their phone mirror how what they are reading will look in their memory if not deeply read – ripped and unclear. Depth encourages a new generation of readers to read deeper and remember more clearly. This project was in response to D&AD New Blood and Penguins brief.
