Inhaler Packaging Design
Asthma is one of the most common chronic conditions, and it is easily managed with effective control using inhalers. Despite this, the asthma death toll has risen in the last decade, and even worse, physicians discovered that two thirds of asthma deaths were preventable. They found that there’s a nation-wide misunderstanding with asthma medication in the UK, finding that reliever inhalers, intended for rescue use, are being overused, and preventer inhalers, intended for every-day consistent control, are concerningly under-used.
My project revolves a speculative packaging re-design, where I have created informative & enjoyable illustrations for three different inhalers, aiming to tackle the three different types of medicine (pMDI, DPI and SMI), as well as three of the medicine uses (Reliever, Preventer and Combination.
Carabiners | An extension that aims to encourage people to keep their inhaler on them at all times, using illustrations to serve as a portable set of instructions.
Pin Badges | Intended as an attractive touchpoint that serves as a reminder when spotted on your bag or coat in the morning, so you remember to take your inhaler & how, or to bring it with you.
GP Office Posters | Extending the information seen on the packaging to the offices where most people receive information on their condition, aiming for this information to be communicated as much as possible, and for patients to have visual and verbal information.
How to be Loud about Silent Censorship

How to be Loud about Silent Censorship, an interactive experience, designed for CensHERship & The Case for Her, intended to raise awareness of the issue of gender-biased censorship on social media. The experience consists of a pop-up board, appearing in cities around the country, with peep-holes cut out of the board for curious people to look through.
Through the peep-holes are animations discussing these issues, as well as an interactive photograph and audio element at the end, where the user can take a photo and share their own experiences with censorship. Throughout, there is audio playing for the users to listen to while going through the experience, which is recorded from previous users sharing their experiences.

Grandma’s Magical Pottery Shop
Grandma’s Magical Pottery Shop is a children’s picture book, with a story written by me. The story revolves around Agnes’ pottery magical pottery shop, which she takes her granddaughter Enid to visit. While Enid is enamoured, her Grandma makes her a little clay friend, molding him as he comes to life infront of her eyes. Enid is captivated, and jumps into making her own clay friends, of which she makes Mouse.
Clay is careful, tidy and considerate, just like Agnes is in her treasured pottery shop; Mouse, however, is reckless, childish and careless, just like Enid when she discovers the magic of the shop. The story then follows Mouse’s rampant antics in the shop, while Clay & Agnes run around to stop him, and Enid endlessly creates more and more clay creatures that follow Mouse’s example, & chaos ensues.
