I am a detail-oriented and creative designer with a strong interest in technology and user-centred design. I combine technical problem-solving with practical prototyping and product design thinking, continuously refining ideas to improve the final outcome.

Final Year Project – Nyra

Nyra is an at-home diagnostic sleep device that helps identify and record biological factors linked to poor sleep hygiene and chronic insomnia. The design provides patients/users with a more comfortable alternative to traditional in-clinic polysomnography testing by allowing data to be collected within the user’s own sleep environment. This improves user comfort, confidence in testing, and natural sleep behaviour, allowing specialists to analyse more realistic sleep data over multiple nights than from a single clinical session.

Key features

Gold cup EEG electrodes encapsulated within medical-grade silicone overmoulds, integrated into flexible support bands designed to conform to the head. The silicone housing provides skin-safe contact, positional stability, and protection for the electrode assembly, while the band structure maintains consistent electrode placement and contact pressure, enabling reliable brain wave data collection.

Scenario of use

Design for Manufacture

All parts are designed for injection moulding, overmoulding and casting, reducing the need for fixing, lowering the time for assembly.

Additional Projects

Firebot project

My group designed, manufactured and coded a compact robot capable of traversing obstacles, climbing inclines and extinguishing fires around a challenge course. An ESP32 Bluetooth-controlled microcontroller enabled wireless operation, while high-torque motors delivered climbing performance, and a servo-powered peristaltic pump system extinguished flames. Building, debugging and refining the robot strengthened my skills in rapid prototyping, electronic circuit development and maintenance.
