Children’s products are expensive, quickly outgrown and often used for only a short period of time. While many parents struggle with clutter and the effort it takes to pass items on, other families are unable to access essential products.
Circa bridges this gap through a circular platform that helps families buy, sell and donate trusted children’s products through one local service.
By combining personalised recommendations, local redistribution and equitable donation pathways, Circa transforms outgrown essentials into lasting value for families, communities and the planet.

Circa removes the friction from second-hand parenting. Families can quickly upload unwanted items, receive personalised recommendations and access trusted essentials through one seamless experience.

Circa combines digital and physical infrastructure to create a managed local redistribution service that keeps children’s products moving through communities, making circular parenting simpler and more accessible.

Circa was developed through iterative prototyping, service walkthroughs, empathetic modelling, choice modelling and usability testing to understand the barriers preventing families from engaging in circular behaviours.
Throughout the process, one insight consistently emerged: convenience is critical. Parents were motivated to make more sustainable choices, but current systems often require too much time and effort. This became a key principle that shaped the development of the service.
