Hi! I'm a passionate graphic designer that loves creating with purpose, and considering user experiences to create thoughtful and impactful outcomes that help people.
Care Collective is a community events organisation supporting parents who care for their additional needs child. It strives to improve mental wellbeing and relieve loneliness by creating opportunities for socialisation and meaningful connection. This is achieved through creative workshops, self-care experiences, and sports and nature-based activities.
The app introduces the parents to the experience while offering personalised features that reassure them their child’s needs will be cared for appropriately if they’re brought along.
Features are designed to encourage connection, such as inviting friends you’ve made to future activities, and being able to wave hello to parents you’ll meet at upcoming events.
Parents are encouraged to scan the QR code of anyone they’re developing a connection with, so they can invite them to future activities and maintain the friendship.
A take-home package is gifted when parents try out new sessions, corresponding to the activity style, such as this self care package.
Advertisements placed in key locations of the parent carers daily lives draws more people in, and reminds them to keep coming back.
Not Alone
Branding | UX UI | Experiential Design
Not Alone is a discreet support platform and community for LGBTQ+ children of immigrants aged 13-18 who are navigating restrictive, homophobic family environments, where they cannot safely express their authentic sexual identity.
This concept begins in schools, during PSHE lessons. Using resources provided by Not Alone, PSHE teachers across the UK will give lessons every two to three months focusing on the identity struggles faced by second generation immigrants. Sexual identity is never explicitly mentioned, but gently hinted towards so only those who understand, understand.
These cards will be distributed to the class at the end of the lesson. While the language overtly highlights the challenges of being a second generation immigrant, it also subtly alludes towards navigating other aspects of your identity.
Limited edition student train tickets will be released with a sneaky secret message on the back, to spark intrigue.
A selection of toilet rolls in the school bathrooms are branded with Not Alone messaging. In a more direct, but sensitive way, the language explores sexual identity struggles in an unaccepting household. Within bathroom stalls, a private moment of reflection is created to help the children feel safe and validated.
Our brand name and slogan repeated throughout all of our touchpoints, Not Alone, is the url to our website. Users are likely to explore it in the comfort of their bed at night.
Teachers will wear badges featuring the logo to identify themselves as safe and supportive spaces. This repeated presence acts as a final reminder that they are not alone, and that the website is available whenever they need it.
