Aqsa Chundrigar
Hiya! I’m Aqsa, a graphic designer with a focus on branding, editorial and web design. My approach merges analog and digital processes, drawing inspiration from fashion, arts, and music to develop systematic designs.
This project was conceptualised in two parts: letterform development and web design.
I aimed to raise awareness for and educate people about one of the lesser-known, indigenous languages of Pakistan, in an attempt to fight for the internal decolonisation of the state.
01 Written System
Memoni is an oral-only language originating from the Sindh region of Pakistan. It is incredibly difficult to learn without the help of a native speaker.
This unique writing system has been developed to make learning Memoni much easier and more accessible.
02 Web Design
In order to communicate this concept, I created a prototype ‘minisite’ similar to those made by Grilli Type.
