Crocheting with yarn is similar to handling hair, due to its thin and delicate nature. The time and dedication it takes to complete intricate crochet projects is the same as designing hair. This is an integral part of my practice, as the time I take to create everything mirrors the long history of women taking care of their hair.

Shadows are a light and intangible thing, yet in my exhibition they represent the marks left by a lifetime of constant reminders of hair being an incredibly important feature.
