Primarily a photographer, I explore a blend of cultures inspired by my experience growing up with mixed heritage. By photographing found objects, I capture the details of the readymades and digitally manipulate them to show my hybrid identity.

Food was an integral aspect of my cultural exploration as a child, and as an adult, I turn to food to navigate my diasporic identity.
Through a variety of medias, I explored different ways to present a mix of objects and cultures blended together.
Creating sculptures through readymade or found objects allowed me to physically merge the cultures I grew up with into a tangible object. I trialled this with multiple processes, such as photocopying labels and layering elements of recyclables together to allow the objects to overlay each other naturally. Further into this experimentation, I cut objects apart and forced their halves together with glue to create a seamless transition where these cultures meet.
This process was replicated through photography and digital media as well; cutting out an object and overlaying it atop a different photo to create a gradient blend.
