The artist practice aims to reconnect the viewer with beliefs long abandoned. The works’ layered themes of astrology, faith and omen show a ritualist connection to the Earth, or its inhabitants, who become a conduit for narrative. Collaged sequences of visual imagery re-tell forgotten stories of ceremony, prophecy or omen.

Text plays a significant role in each video. It represents a primitive belief in omens, signs or symbols. A mix of seasonal lore, weather lore, folksong and poetry reinforces an abandoned, neglected connection to the Earth and skies alike. Each individual story spindled together emphasises the importance of ceremony and ritual in daily life.
The Wolf, (Orion), is a reflection of despair and a harbinger of destruction. Whereas the horse and the foal, (Pegasus and Equuleus), are the living identity of oncoming spring. The hare, (Lepus), represents melancholy or bad luck. It is often associated with the moon, dusk or dawn.
Digital videos are paired with divine objects as a reminder of the grip occult influences still hold today. Work is projected alongside talismans, such as hagstones, to suggest influence from celestial or planetary powers.
Collaging and layering plays a prominent role within their practice. Colours represent certain emotions or senses. Shapes and symbols reflect certain constellations or concepts related to folklore and faith. Alternate sequences of visual imagery merged together consequently mould the meaning of retold narratives through the viewers’ individual experience.
