Supporting earlier recognition of endometriosis symptoms and faster diagnosis
Endometriosis affects around 1 in 10 women, yet diagnosis is often delayed by 8–10 years due to dismissed pain, gender bias, and a lack of non-invasive diagnostic tools. Selene responds to this gap through at-home tracking of menstrual inflammation markers, helping users monitor symptoms over time and communicate them more clearly with clinicians. With severe period pain and related gynaecological conditions estimated to cost the UK economy nearly £11 billion annually in lost productivity, investing in women’s health is both a social and economic necessity.

We believe every woman deserves to understand her body and be heard when she talks about pain. That’s why we created Selene: to help women track menstrual health biomarkers and turn symptoms into clear data for clinical appointments, so they feel informed, confident, and ready to advocate for themselves.
Our Vision:
Our vision is to create a future where women feel informed, confident, and in control of their menstrual health through accessible, compassionate, and clinically credible care.

Shaped by lived experience and developed through research and testing with women, from concept to final prototype. User testing was vital, as hearing directly from people helped refine the design around real needs.

Postnatal mental health issues, mastitis, and poor support are major barriers that cause many women to stop breastfeeding earlier than planned.
Nurtia by Willow is an AI-enabled breast pump and milk monitoring system designed to support mothers beyond expression – detecting early infection, analysing milk composition, and guiding feeding between breast milk and formula – turning pumping into proactive health insights that reassures the mother in real time.
Open Style Lab June 2025 – September 2025
I supported the organisation and coordination of the fellowship programme by managing fellows and schedules, created graphic materials for the final showcase exhibition, and coordinated outreach to contributors as well as accessibility support, including BSL interpreters and additional inclusive arrangements.
Mima Group 2024 – 2025
I applied creative thinking to multidisciplinary, human-centred design challenges across inclusive design, human factors, and service design. I collaborated with internal teams, supported client communication, and assisted accessibility consultants with project access audits. Alongside this, I managed tasks and priorities across multiple projects and contributed to graphics, 2D and 3D visuals, digital design, and video content.
