8 Track

The roadtrip of a life time for thrill seeking over 65s. 8 Track offers a range of adrenaline-inducing trips with activities ranging from skydiving to roller-skating. A 6 week project developed for the 100Proof competition from Bulletproof, based on the memory of my Great Nana going on rollercoasters with me when I was little.

8 Track aims to allow the older generation to stay young at heart through the power of adventure, novelty, and nostalgia. It provides an escape from the monotonous day-to-day and a chance to meet new people at a time when most feel isolated.

Advertised on TV and across social media, the modern, vibrant twist on the 1960s/70s colours grabs your attention. The website allows you to see the different trips and find the perfect thrill level. Once your trip is booked, keep an eye out for your personalised track pack in the post. The pack contains the map of your trip, your ticket and a personalised mix of the 8 Track tunes – the soundtrack to your adventure.

Blob Squad

Life without periods may sound like a dream but it can lead to serious health issues such as low bone mass, depression and infertility. Join Blob Squad today and get your flow back. The squad are a community of women supporting each other on this healing journey.

Packaged within an app and the Blob Band, users learn to look after themselves through caring for their Blob Buddy. Blob Squad aims to act as the first step in recovery for those with Hypothalamic Amenorrhea (HA) (a missing period for 3 or more months). Through stress management, proper balanced nutrition and support to get 8-10 hours of sleep, together the squad will regain their periods.

This was a response to the Pearlfisher Fresh Pearls brief and creates meaningful memories from fleeting connections. The ‘Buddy detection’ function allows users to make friends out and about, while the quarterly Blob Banquets provide a large scale, in-person celebration of the healing journey.

The project is inspired by Tamagotchis and the Y2K/1990s neon graphic style. Targeted at Gen Z, it capitalises on the growing need for nostalgia, allowing the audience to heal in a comforting and friendly environment.

Pocket Change

Reconnect and destress with the simple question; ‘Penny for your thoughts?’.

A small, self-set group project with Mia Fulker. I produced all illustrations and pattern work while Mia created the packaging, touchpoint mockups and branding.

Pocket Change is an innovative subscription service for university students, reviving the tradition of pen pals. Purchase a subscription along with a friend and receive the initial pack through the post. Together, over the next year, you will create your own personalised set of cards and conversations.

Through these packs, Pocket Change aims to help students reconnect and take a time to focus on the here and now. This will help to reduce stress and anxiety by creating a pause and giving students a time to reflect.

It will be advertised though a giant photobooth appearing on university campuses round the country during freshers. Here students can see what Pocket Change is all about and exchanging a real 1p coin for the promotional card. Once their photo is taken they can use the voucher code on the back to get money off their year subscription.

Unbreakable Bitches

A semester 1 project creating a campaign for The Royal Osteoporosis Society. It raises awareness about how strength and resistance training in your 20s and 30s can help prevent osteoporosis in women once they start menopause. Building bone mass is important as women loose a minimum of 2% year during menopause causing their bones to become weaker and more susceptible to breaking.

Using the visual metaphor of porcelain women, the campaign stands out from other adverts and encourages women to build their bones stronger so their strength lasts longer. Encouraging them to become unbreakable.

Instillation adverting. A very large statue of a woman lifiting a bar invites the audience to take a photo with her.
Installations will appear in shopping centres and train stations, encouraging people to pose lifting the weight. They can then upload these to the campaign site and get them displayed on the screen.

Wood Spirit Wander

A range of woodland trails by Forestry England across the midlands, Wood Spirit Wander teaches kids how each type of tree is integral to the woodland eco system. Through meeting the tree spirit and learning their secrets, the trial gives children something to do during the school holidays that is out of the house and away from screens.

Each child receives a trail map and cluesheet that, once filled out reveals the magic word. In exchange for this word the kids receive a goody-bag to take home, full of stickers, colouring pages and a little sweet. The tree spirit designs differ at each location so you can keep exploring the world of the forest all year long.

For this semester 1 project I created a model of the Holly Spirit (as seen in the second image) out of Sculpey. It brings the experience to life in a way the illustrations could not.
