Hi, my name is Ishita Kumar. I specialise in textiles & fashion. Next year I will be studying fashion here at Loughborough University. My current project is about badminton and sportswear and I'm exploring how to make sportswear out of knit.

Inspiration & Development

This project explores the design and the development of sportswear inspired by badminton. I’m also exploring knit textiles in sportswear. Most of the designs were driven from my own photographs of a badminton racket and shuttlecock which were then made into a repeat pattern or drawings.

Later I turned some of these patterns into knit samples demonstrating how they can be applied in real life scenarios.
