Commissioned by councils. Built for communities.
LocALLY partners with councils to develop hyperlocal strategies, resolve priority issues they’re struggling to address, and build communities that can help themselves. It reimagines how communities connect by mobilising what already exists and by giving local residents the tools and confidence they need to build self-sufficient networks, opening the door to new opportunities for social connection that actually feel accessible.

LocALLY’s marketing campaign raises awareness at every scale, each layer builds on the last. Once they’ve joined, residents explore matches based on their interests and availability. Other community volunteering platforms lead with required skills and long-term commitment. LocALLY leads with what you might enjoy, and helps you get more out of giving back.
Meanwhile, grassroots groups gain legitimacy, reach, with the tools to reach those who need them the most. LocALLY also gives them the ability to collaborate with other groups, sharing venues, skills, and resources. Local organisations stop working in isolation, and start working as one.

LocALLY is not a generic solution that’s dropped into different cities. It’s rooted in what already exists, and its adaptability is built into the core of its hyperlocal model. Every strategy begins with the council’s own data, their own priority locations, and the community groups already operating on the ground.

The final service proposal is grounded in real needs and insights. I engaged with resident and council stakeholders across every step of the process, constantly iterating and reflecting on what the best point of intervention would be for systemic change.

“With LocALLY we can have autonomy, unlike with other platforms. This would be a way of putting us on the map” NDCA member
